The tools did the growing up. Scratch has taught visual programming to kids 8 to 16 for years, but the newer wave goes further. Kids are already using this. One story making the rounds in youth entrepreneurship circles this month: a 15-year-old named Izaiah who built an app to teach other kids financial literacy. Here's the thing, though. The build is the easy half now. What makes this a business education instead of screen time is everything wrapped around the build: picking a problem, finding users, deciding what it costs and what it charges.
