Pitch Deck
A presentation (usually 10-15 slides) that tells your startup story to potential investors.
Definition
A pitch deck is a concise visual narrative that covers your problem, solution, market size, business model, traction, team, and ask. The best decks follow a story arc: here's the world as it is (problem), here's how it could be (solution), and here's proof we can get there (traction + team). Sequoia's pitch deck template is the gold standard.
Why it matters for founders
Your pitch deck is often an investor's first impression of your company. A great deck gets you a meeting. A bad one gets deleted. It's also a forcing function for clear thinking about your business.
Example
Airbnb's original pitch deck: Problem (hotels are expensive), Solution (rent locals' homes), Market Size ($1.9B), Business Model (10% booking fee), Traction (early bookings), Team (experienced founders).
How Foundra helps
Foundra generates the key components of a pitch deck: Idea Snapshot (problem/solution), Target Customer Profile, Market context, Proof Signals, and Launch Assets — all exportable and shareable.
